Susan Ruch Promoted to Assistant Vice President, Small Business Lender
Susan has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Small Business Lender. With 28 years of banking experience, including 26 years at The Farmers Bank, Susan has built a long-standing reputation for supporting local entrepreneurs and helping small businesses grow and succeed.

Susan began her career at The Farmers Bank in 1999 as an Administrative Assistant in the Commercial Loan Department and has since served as a Retail Loan Officer, Commercial Loan Office Manager, and Small Business Lender. She has spent two decades focused on small business lending and continues to serve the Clinton County community she calls home.

A graduate of Ball State University, Susan is deeply involved in the community. She serves on the Friends of the Library Board, previously served on the Habitat for Humanity board, and volunteers weekly as part of the Reading Champions program, reading to third grade students. She is also a published author of the early reader children’s book Pretty Kitty and the Magnificent World.

“My goal is to continue to serve the Clinton County community as well as other communities in our footprint with their small business lending needs by creating community with them,” said Ruch. “By building relationships and learning about my customers’ businesses, I look forward to partnering with them to make their ambitions a reality.”

“Susan’s career reflects an unwavering commitment to small businesses and to the communities we serve,” said Brad Cunningham, Executive Vice President and Chief Banking Officer. “Her experience, leadership, and dedication to mentoring the next generation of lenders make her incredibly deserving of this promotion.”

Susan lives in Frankfort with her husband, Joe, and enjoys spending time with their five children and eleven grandchildren, traveling, reading, and antiquing.
