Welcome to SMART Online Banking
Thank you for your patience this past weekend while we upgraded our entire online system and mobile app. As of Monday, September 29, 2025, SMART Online Banking is live and ready for you.

Access Via the Web

  • Option 1: Visit The Farmers Bank homepage and select the SMART Online Banking button in the upper-right corner.
  • Option 2 (Direct): Go straight to the SMART Online Banking login page. If you want to update your browser bookmark, this is the link you will want to save for quick and direct access to SMART Online Banking.

Your Security Comes First
Our new experience is protected by advanced encryption and layered authentication. Always verify you are on a thefarmersbank.com page before entering credentials.

SECURITY TIP
We will never ask you for your one-time passcode or password by phone, email, or text.

Logging IN
Use the same Login ID and password you used previously. On your first login, you’ll be prompted to change your password. Just follow the on-screen prompts. Once you’ve gained access to the dashboard you will also now have the option to update your log in ID in settings, but this can only be accomplished once you’ve fully logged in.

Having trouble?

  • Select Forgot Login ID on the login page and follow the steps.
  • If issues continue, see the ‘Need Assistance’ information below.

New to online banking?

  • Click Enroll at the bottom of the login page and complete the form using your information on file. If your info has changed and enrollment doesn’t go through, see ‘Need Assistance’ information below and we’ll get you set up.

First Steps Checklist
Please complete the following steps when you first log in to ensure everything is set up and working correctly for you.

  1. Review Your Accounts: one of the great enhancements of our new dashboard is that you can now see every account where you are listed as a signer.
    • This means you may notice accounts you never previously had access to if you were just listed as an additional signer.
    • If you believe an account should appear but does not, please email contactus@thefarmersbank.com so we can resolve this right away.
  2. Bill Pay: companies you had listed in Bill Pay are still being uploaded into the new SMART Online Banking dashboard. If you see that a biller is missing, please check back later today. If you do not see them by tomorrow morning, please give us a call at 765-654-8731 or send an email to contactus@thefarmersbank.com.
  3. Verify Recurring Transfers: take a moment to confirm that your recurring transfers migrated correctly during the upgrade.
    • Verify amounts, to/from accounts, frequency, and dates.
    • If something doesn’t look right, cancel the incorrect transfer and re-enter it with the correct details.
    • If a transfer was set up internally by a Farmers Bank staff member (rather than through the previous online banking website), it may fail and will need to be re-set using the Customer-to-Customer Payment option in your new dashboard.
  4. Check Account Nicknames: your custom account names (nicknames) may have reverted to the default during the upgrade.
    • Review the nickname section and update them so they appear the way you want.
  5. Update Your Contact Information: ensure your phone number, email address, and mailing address are correct in your profile. This ensures you receive security alerts, account updates, and other important communications.
  6. Review Alerts & Notifications: your new dashboard makes it easy to receive real-time updates on balances, deposits, withdrawals, and more.
    • Check that any existing alerts transferred correctly.
    • Create new alerts that match your preferences.
  7. Enroll in eStatements (Optional): if you are not already enrolled, consider signing up for eStatements:
    • They are secure, environmentally friendly, and available sooner than paper statements
    • You can activate eStatements directly from your dashboard settings.

Download the New Mobile App
Our previous (tan app with the orange TFB logo) is no longer operational or being supported. 

  • App Store (iPhone/iPad): Visit the App Store and search ‘The Farmers Bank Mobile App’ and then click on ‘Update’ to install our new app (a white icon with orange TFB logo).
  • Google Play (Android): Visit the Play Store and search ‘The Farmers Bank Mobile’ and then click on ‘Install’ to download our new app (a white icon with orange TFB logo).

Temporary Feature Availability Update
When you log in to your new SMART Online Banking dashboard, one of the features is not yet available.

  • Customer-to-Customer Transfers – This feature allows you to transfer money directly from your account to another Farmers Bank customer’s account.

We are actively working with our software provider to enable this feature and expect to have it available very soon. We will send you a notification as soon as you can begin using this tool.

    • Please Note: Regular banking services, transactions, and appointments will not be available during the open house. Regular hours resume Tuesday, September 30, 2025. See ‘Locations’ on our website for hours and addresses.
