The Farmers Bank Appoints Two New Members to Board of Directors

Frankfort, IN — The Farmers Bank is proud to announce the election of two new members to its Board of Directors effective Monday, April 9, 2018.

Joining the Board of Directors of The Farmers Bank is Donna J. Lehman and Gregory J. Cagnassola.  “We are excited to have both Donna and Gregory join our Board of Directors.  They embody the spirit of community and I am confident they will bring insight, expertise and energy to our organization. Adding top talent across all areas of The Farmers Bank, including our Board of Directors, is paramount to achieving our goals.  We are very fortunate to be able to attract new directors who are accomplished leaders and have built and led successful businesses and high-performing teams.  Their wealth of knowledge and experience coupled with their diverse backgrounds will be an asset to our Board” said Karen F. Gregerson, President and Chief Executive Officer.  The addition of Donna and Gregory increases the size of The Farmers Bank Board of Directors from 9 to 11 members. 

Donna J. Lehman, graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Ball State University in Muncie, IN.  She is a Certified Public Accountant.  In addition to serving on the Board of The Farmers Bank, she also is Founder and Co-Owner of Lehman & Company, P.C. located in Noblesville, IN, where she is blessed to work with all her immediate family and mother, Jeanne.  Prior to Lehman & Company, P.C., Donna also worked as a CPA for Norkus & DelFabro CPA and Geo. S Olive CPA, both located in Indianapolis, IN.  She has served her community in various forms which include former Treasurer with Hamilton County 4H, prior Board Member of Hamilton County Extension Homemakers, Member of Farm Bureau, Inc. of Hamilton County, Member of Indiana CPA Society, and former Treasurer for North Elementary and White River Elementary Parent Teacher Organizations.  Donna and her husband, Ken reside in Noblesville, Indiana.  They have one son, Ben, who is married Audrey and one daughter, Emily who is married to David Kuhn.  They have two grandchildren, Faith and Caleb.  In her spare time, Donna enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, playing golf, and helping with youth activities. 

Gregory J. Cagnassola, received his Bachelor of Science degree in General Management from Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN.  He also received is Doctor of Jurisprudence degree while working full-time from Indiana University.  He is an Attorney.  In addition to serving on the Board of The Farmers Bank, he also is Partner and Counsel for DeFur Voran LLP, Attorneys at Law located in Fishers, IN.  Prior to Defur Voran LLP, Gregory also worked as Corporate Counsel and Tax Analyst for Inland Container Corporation and Internal Auditor for Ball Corporation.  He has served his community in various forms which include Board Member of Fishers Music Works, Advisory Board Member for Boilermaker Business Exchange, past Board Member of Hamilton County YMCA, Mentor for Hamilton Southeastern Academy of Finance, President of Theta Chi Alumni of Alpha Delta Chapter, Inc., Member of Purdue University President’s Council, Member of Indiana State Bar Association, Hamilton County Bar Association, and Indianapolis Bar Association.
