Job Posting – Senior Financial Analyst                                   

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for asset liability management and handling stock related transactions. Set rates for all deposit products as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

  • Work with auditors and examiners in information preparation for interest rate risk, liquidity and investments.
  • Proactively promote The Farmers Bank.
  • Assist internal and external customers to serve and exceed their expectations.
  • Accountable for all State and Federal regulations and bank policies/procedures that apply to this position and department.
  • Serve as a leader in supporting and setting the example for the Core Values and Customer Service Standards of The Farmers Bank.
  • Regularly evaluate and determine wholesale funding sources.
  • Set rates for deposit products, and work with other staff in bidding on public funds. 
  • Actively involved in dividend disbursements.
  • Communicate with and assist customers and shareholders as needed.
  • Actively involved in record keeping of stock related transactions.
  • Annual budget preparation and forecast updates.
  • Monitor reserve requirement compliance.
  • Monitor balance position at all correspondent banks and the Federal Reserve.
  • Monitor TEFRA allowance.
  • Review monthly investment transactions and overall investment portfolio to ensure compliance with policy. 
  • Verify compliance on interbank liabilities.
  • Monitor collateral requirements for Sweep Repo accounts.
  • Provide third party vendor necessary information for development of ALM reports.
  • Thoroughly understand ALM reports provided by third party vendor to understand risks to bank.
  • Regularly review balance sheet changes to identify large changes in loans and deposits, and impact on cash accounts.
  • Calculate appropriate liquidity ratios to be included in the monthly ALCO reports.
  • Oversee borrowing activities with FHLB and establish and maintain relationships.
  • Advise on tax exempt loan request.
  • Serve as a member of ALCO.
  • Assist Comptroller’s Department in completing quarterly Call Report as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION

 High School Education or Equivalent.

 and

 College Degree. 

JOB KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge of investments; asset and liability management; rate shock analysis; liquidity contingency planning.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Two to five years of similar or related experience.

SKILLS/ABILITIES

Should have strong mathematical and accounting skills.  Computer skills and organizational skills are required.  Must be able to effectively communicate, both written and orally.  Proficient using Vantage and Director, proficient in report preparation for ALCO.
