The Farmers Bank Announces Leadership Promotions at Fishers Financial Center
FISHERS, INDIANA – The Farmers Bank is pleased to announce the internal promotion of two outstanding team members at its Fishers Financial Center. Sean Horning has been promoted to Fishers Financial Center Director, and Evan Walker has been promoted to Assistant Financial Center Director. Both began their new roles in late fall of 2025.
“These promotions reflect our continued investment in developing strong leaders from within our organization,” said Senior Vice President, Consumer Banking Steve Walter. “Sean and Evan each bring unique experience, energy, and a strong commitment to relationship-based banking that will serve our Fishers customers well.”
Sean Horning, Fishers Financial Center Director
Sean Horning joined The Farmers Bank after serving as a loan officer with another banking institution and brings more than five years of banking experience to his new role. Most recently, he served as Assistant Branch Manager at the Fishers Financial Center. He attended Indiana University before beginning his professional career and is an Indiana native and current resident of Indianapolis.
Sean shared that he was drawn to banking because of its role in building meaningful community relationships. In his new position, he looks forward to introducing individuals, families, and businesses who are new to the area to The Farmers Bank’s personalized approach to service.
“I’m excited for our new team at Fishers to take on the abundant local competition and prove that customer service and personal relationships are still paramount in our increasingly digital world,” said Horning.
Outside of work, Sean enjoys local sports, outdoor activities, and world travel. He and his wife, Shelby, share their home with two cats, Peaches and The Stinkin’ Rat.
Evan Walker, Assistant Financial Center Director
Evan Walker brings a diverse professional background to his new leadership role, including experience as a middle school math teacher, a Human Resources Sergeant with the Indiana Army National Guard, and multiple roles within The Farmers Bank. He joined the bank one year ago and previously served as a Universal Banker, Float Teller, and Customer Service Representative.
Evan is a graduate of Ball State University, where he earned both his bachelor’s degree in business administration and his Master of Business Administration. A native of Danville, Indiana, he currently resides in Indianapolis.
“I’ve always enjoyed being a part of a team and often found myself in leadership roles,” said Walker. “I believe this role gives me the opportunity to expand our community outreach and have more meaningful conversations with customers to support their financial well-being.”
Evan’s goals for the coming year include investing in employee development, and helping customers deepen their relationship with The Farmers Bank. Outside of work, he is passionate about distance running.

The Farmers Bank Fishers Financial Center lobby is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. A Video ATM is available on site 24 hours a day, with live customer service available Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to noon.
