The Farmers Bank Expands into Downtown Tipton, Continuing its Legacy of Community Growth
New location in Tipton County marks the Bank’s 12th financial center as it approaches its 150th anniversary of serving Hoosier communities
FRANKFORT, INDIANA – As The Farmers Bank marches toward its 150th anniversary, the Bank is proud to announce plans to open a new financial center in downtown Tipton, marking its 12th location and fourth county including Boone, Clinton, and Hamilton Counties.
Founded in 1876 in downtown Frankfort, The Farmers Bank has spent nearly a century and a half helping individuals, families, and businesses grow their dreams. Now, that same commitment to community banking will soon be available in Tipton County, a community that shares the same values of hard work, trust, and connection that have defined The Farmers Bank for generations.

While the exact opening date for the new downtown Tipton location is still being finalized, customers can begin banking with The Farmers Bank today. Anyone interested in becoming a Tipton customer is invited to visit any of the bank’s financial centers to open a personal or business account with access to our new SMART Online Banking platform. Visit the locations tab on the bank’s website to see the full list. While visiting one of our Financial Centers new customers can explore a full suite of financial services, from CD and Money Market accounts, lines of credit, to mortgages and consumer loans, as well as investment and trust services. Simply indicate that you would like to bank at the new Tipton location while opening your account.
Tipton Mayor Remarks

Tipton Introduction Luncheons
To introduce itself to the community, The Farmers Bank will host a series of “Rooted In” Luncheons in November at the Tipton County Fairgrounds:
- Rooted in Growth (November 10) – for business owners and entrepreneurs
- Rooted in Community (November 17) – for nonprofits, churches, educators, and civic leaders
- Rooted in Agriculture (November 25) – for farmers and agribusinesses
