Job Posting- Fishers: Assistant Branch Manager
Works closely and supports the Branch Manager in all aspects of a retail branch. Develops business by establishing and maintaining sound relationships with existing and potential customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Overall responsible for branch operations, including back up to teller/customer service functions. This includes cross-training of the daily operations of opening and closing of the branch, and all functions of CETO.
Explain and open various products and services in assisting clients while meeting their needs.
Proactively promote The Farmers Bank.
Assist internal and external customers to serve and exceed their expectations.
Accountable for all State and Federal regulations and bank policies/procedures that apply to this position and department.
Serve as a leader in supporting and setting the example for the Core Values and Customer Service Standards of The Farmers Bank.
Assist clients in all customer service issues related to their banking products.
Cross sell products to new and existing customers.
Originate and underwrite retail loans including auto, home equity, personal, and student loans.
Review applications and approve loans for all above listed possibilities. This includes making the credit decision and communicating that decision to the customer.
Responsible for running some meetings which would include branch huddle.
Oversee the daily operations and balancing of the ATM.
Assist with developing, implementing and maintaining a business development plan to increase the number of services existing clients have with the bank and to reach out to potential new clients.
Develop programs and reward systems with the branch manager to increase morale and develop employees in order to assist in reducing turnover.
Represents the bank in local community organizations.
Monitor employee activities, assist with problems, and take action when necessary to ensure work quality standards and planned schedules are maintained.
Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to staff.
Accountable for the branch maintaining compliance with regards to bank policies, procedures and operational integrity.
Proactively perform branch internal audits (and Security Audits) to check the accuracy of procedures such as: safe deposit box inventory report; open/close procedures; all clear signal; monitor branch/teller drawer limits etc.
Follow 90 Day Contact Plan procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
High School Education or Equivalent
Knowledge of banking regulations; required knowledge of check cashing policy; Retail Loan policy knowledge preferred; knowledge of internal bank policies required; leadership and communication skills.
A strong desire to serve our clients. The ability to make a decision on your own and possess good judgment; good sales skills and the ability to develop business is required. Must be able to multi-task and be a strong role model for employees. Communication, leadership, and organizational skills are of top priority.
